People ask me all the time why the Philadelphia Phillies are so successful.

To me, the answer is quite simple. When a talented team has team chemistry, look out — they are hard to beat. Charlie Manuel says he has never been around a team with a better attitude and a better chemistry than this year’s Phillies, and it certainly has shown in this postseason.

They undoubtedly are talented, but their stars have no egos.

Look at Jimmy Rollins. How many former MVPs who were in their worst season of their career and hitting .211 would have stepped up and roped a 98-mph fastball into a gap to win a game?

His team never lost faith in him. They were down together in 2007. They lost and learned as a team that season. They won as a team last season.

Ryan Howard was the first one out of the dugout on Monday night to greet Jimmy Rollins after his game-winning double. Ask yourself this: Would the Dodgers star player have done the same?

My answer is, probably not, because he was in the shower.
