Many teams passed on Brandon Jennings in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Now, many teams are regretting that decision.

With his 55-point effort on Saturday against Golden State, the rookie sensation became the youngest player ever to score 50 points, taking that crown from LeBron James.

By becoming the fifth rookie ever, and the first since 1968, to score 55 points, Jennings just added to his early-season resume that is making a lot of teams that passed on him for his ego or the fact that he played overseas instead of college look incredibly foolish.

Jennings has become a sensation in Milwaukee that desperately needed somebody to save basketball in the city that has longed for a star since George Karl traded away Ray Allen. Attendance and excitement are sky high in Milwaukee now, and Young Buck is the sole reason.

A 19-year-old kid may have saved basketball in the city, even though he has played just seven games.

Wouldn’t the Timberwolves, Warriors or Knicks like to have that pick back? Those teams are all now a combined 5-25 and headed back to the lottery once again.
