The ASU diving team made its presence felt at the Wildcat Diving Invitational that took place at the Kasser Family Pool in Tucson over the weekend.

The Sun Devils performed strongly on both the men and women’s side, taking three wins in the competition.

Junior Cameron Bradshaw earned the first win at the invitational, tallying 357.25 points on the 1-meter springboard. The score earned him first place and an automatic qualifying NCAA score. Bradshaw also placed third on the 3-meter springboard.

Freshman Riley McCormick took first for the men’s team and sophomore Elina Eggers won first place for the women’s team in the 10-meter platform.

McCormick also finished fourth on the 1-meter with a score of 330.05.

Eggers was the runner-up in the 1-meter springboard competition.

Junior Brittany Jumer placed fourth overall on the 3-meter with a score of 285.60, and won first in the consolation round for the 1-meter.

ASU diving coach Mark Bradshaw was pleased with the way the team performed.

“I felt like overall the team did really well,” Bradshaw said. “It was a challenge because it was the first real challenging meet of season, because they were there all day, and most everyone competed in all three events.”

The ASU diving team will compete in the OSU Invitational in two weeks.
