Kevin Parrom is becoming an instigator in the rivalry between ASU and UA.

If you recall, it was Parrom that committed the flagrant foul in Tempe that sent Ty Abbott hard to the floor.

On Sunday, the freshman guard was back to his antics again.

After the clock struck zero in ASU’s win at McKale Center, Parrom got physical and threw an elbow at Derek Glasser, causing a bit of a scuffle in the end-of-the-game handshake.

The game was physical and passionate, but what Parrom did was totally uncalled for.

Glasser wouldn’t speak after the game as to what happened, which is probably smart, but UA coach Sean Miller would.

He sent Parrom off of the floor right after and said it was something that he was sorry had happened. It was something that he is going to address afterward.

While the rivalry is a heated one, there needs to be a certain respect from opponents that just played a great basketball game.

I applaud Miller for apologizing to the Sun Devils for his player’s actions — that showed a lot of class.

Now let’s see if he can get his message across to Parrom.
