Who would’ve thought the Phoenix Coyotes would experience as much success as they’ve had this season?

For years, the Coyotes have been a joke. Other states laughed at them. Arizonans dumped them to root for more successful teams.

Who can blame us though? The Coyotes didn’t deliver. Their seasons were full of losses and disappointment.

Now, years later, it looks as though we might have to take a minute to reevaluate our decision to abandon our state team.

With a nine-game winning streak propelling them to the top of the Pacific Division, the Coyotes are saying that their time of defeat is over. They’re fighting back, and they want to win.

Getting to the playoffs would be a huge achievement for the Coyotes. The last time they made it to the playoffs was in 2002.

What will it take for the Coyotes to win it all?

They need to keep their focus on improving in each game, and not let their egos grow and get in the way of playing hard. Each game demands intensity and concentration.

It’s a long shot, but with the way the Coyotes have been playing recently, if they keep it up, the dream could become a reality.
