The W. P. Carey School of Business is scaling back its expansion plans, canceling some of its offerings at the West campus.
The business school is discontinuing a number of classes required to obtain the Bachelor of Science in Business at that campus.
“These classes account for only 18 to 25 of the 120 hours of classes required for graduation,” said Kay Farris, undergraduate dean for the business school, “and they are all available to West campus students at ASU’s Tempe campus.”
The lack of interest in the courses at this point in the year revealed the classes would not be feasible, especially during this economic climate, she said.
“The W. P. Carey School of Business is continually evaluating what the community and prospective students want and trying to be responsive to those needs in its degree offerings,” Farris said.
