Four women’s golfers earn All-Pac-10 honors

Four ASU women’s golfers earned All-Pac-10 honors Thursday, as voted on by the conference’s coaches.

Sophomore Carlota Ciganda, freshman Jennifer Johnson and senior Juliana Murcia were all named to the All-Pac-10 First Team, while senior Jaclyn Sweeney earned second-team honors. The three players on the first team were the most of any school in the conference.

Ciganda, who earned the second straight first-team honor of her career, became the first golfer in Pac-10 history to win back-to-back conference titles on Wednesday and has six top-10 finishes so far this season.

Murcia also notched her second consecutive first-team selection after six top-10 finishes, while Johnson, the only freshman on the first team, had a stellar debut campaign for the Sun Devils, finishing in the top 10 of all but two of her tournaments so far this season.
