Johnson selected to Curtis Cup team

ASU freshman women’s golfer Jennifer Johnson has been selected to represent the United States in the 2010 Curtis Cup.

The Curtis Cup pits eight of the top amateur golfers in the U.S. against top amateurs from Great Britain and Ireland.

The event will take place from June 11 to 13 at Essex Country Club in Manchester, Mass.

This will be the 21st time a Sun Devil has participated in the Curtis Cup and the first since Kellee Booth in 1998.

The U.S. holds a 26-6-3 lead in the tournament.
