ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- An unknown person or persons committed theft between 6:40 and 6:45 p.m. Wednesday by taking a laptop computer belonging to a 36-year-old male graduate student, police reported.
The student’s computer was on the third floor of the Hayden Library on Tempe campus, according to a report.
The estimated loss is $700, police reported.
There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
- An unknown person or persons committed burglary between 4:20 and 6 p.m. Wednesday by taking items from a vehicle belonging to a 30-year-old female graduate student, police reported.
The student’s vehicle was parked in Lot 30 on the Polytechnic campus, according to a police report.
A backpack, clothing and cash were taken from the student’s vehicle, police reported.
The estimated loss is $260, according to a report.
There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
- An 18-year-old Tempe High School student was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of marijuana and being in possession of marijuana in a drug-free school zone, police reported.
Police caught the student preparing to smoke the marijuana when he was contacted by police, according to a police report.
The student was found to be in possession of a rolled blunt containing a substance believed to be marijuana, police reported.
The student was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, according to a report.
- An 18-year-old Tempe man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of being in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police reported.
The man was contacted as a passenger in a vehicle that committed a traffic violation, according to a police report.
Police officers were given consent to search the vehicle, where they found a glass bong and a usable quantity of marijuana, police reported.
The man admitted to smoking from the bong while driving, according to a report.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
