Two ASU men’s golfers were selected to the European team’s Palmer Cup roster. Juniors Jesper Kennegard, who is from Sweden, and James Byrne, who hails from Scotland, will compete for Team Europe at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland from June 24-26.
The Palmer Cup is a tournament that pits eight of the top collegiate players from Europe against their U.S. counterparts. The series is tied 6-6-1 all-time, with Team Europe winning the last two contests.
Sun Devils are 12-0 in head-to head matches in the Palmer Cup, with former Sun Devils Stephan Gross, Alejandro Canizares and Jeff Quinney representing ASU in years past.
