Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 25-year-old Scottsdale man was arrested April 24 on suspicion of criminal trespassing, police reported.
- A 37-year-old Guadalupe man was arrested April 23 on suspicion of being in possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs for personal use and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
The man entered an apartment on the 1800 block of East Don Carlos Avenue in Tempe occupied by a grandmother and her two granddaughters under the age of 2, according to a police report.
The woman fled the apartment with the youngest granddaughter, and a male neighbor retrieved the other granddaughter from the apartment, police reported.
Police contacted the man in a back bedroom of the apartment, according to a report.
The man was arrested after being cleared by Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital for alcohol intoxication, and booked into Tempe City Jail, police reported.
Police witnessed the man trying to use a clothes hanger to unlock a vehicle on the 700 block of East Weber Drive in Tempe, according to a police report.
The man flagged the officer down, and asked him if he had tools to open the vehicle, police reported.
A check of the man revealed an outstanding city of Mesa warrant, according to a report.
A search incident to arrest revealed a black bag in the man’s waistband, which the man stated had methamphetamine in it, police reported.
Upon opening the bag, police found a glass pipe with white residue, a plastic bag containing six smaller clear plastic bags filled with a white substance and two metal cylinders with a total of 14 bags filled with a white substance, according to a report.
A test of the substance revealed it was methamphetamine, police reported.
The man told police he found the black bag by a dumpster, but had been using the meth, according to a report.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
