‘El Dragon!’
Oh Goran, you have my heart.
It was a little scary hearing that you wanted to return to Europe in a couple years, but thank God for miscommunication.
Last week a Greek journalist reported that you might be interested in playing for a big name European squad, adding that winning titles is on your agenda.
Let's just work on bringing one to Phoenix first.
It’s true, European players returning home has been all the rage this summer.
From the whiney Rudy Fernandez to NBA All-Star Paul Pierce wanting to finish his career overseas, Europe is becoming a viable option.
The Suns also just traded for and signed Josh Childress, who spent two seasons in Europe.
But trust me, Goran, we don’t want you to leave.
Now, I’m sure you’re a top interview overseas with all those languages you speak (it probably helps with the ladies too), but please, from now on, no more heart-stopping comments like that.
Stick around Phoenix long enough and a Dragon’s Layer will be born in the stands (we’re already making t-shirts).
It has taken the Suns so long to find a solid replacement and backup for Steve Nash.
The fans of Phoenix want you, Goran.
