Former ASU running back Dimitri Nance signed with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday after the team lost its starting running back, Ryan Grant, to a season ending ankle injury, according to an Associated Press report.

Nance played with the Sun Devils from 2006 to 2009 and finished his career with 482 carries for 1934 yards and 19 touchdowns.

He led ASU in rushing his senior season with 795 yards and led the team in rushing touchdowns for three straight seasons from 2007 to 2009.

He also finished third on the team in receptions last season.

Nance was playing with the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad after being signed as an undrafted free agent.

He tallied 51 yards on 21 attempts with two touchdowns in the preseason with the Falcons.
