Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday

  • A 23-year-old Tempe woman was arrested around 10 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.The woman was contacted on the 1800 block of North Scottsdale Road in Tempe, where a police investigation revealed   possession of approximately 200 ecstasy pills, according to a police report.

    A subsequent search warrant served at the woman’s apartment on the 1500 block of North Scottsdale Road in Tempe revealed an additional 1,000 ecstasy pills, police reported.

    The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, according to a report.

  • A 30-year-old Tempe woman was arrested around 10 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of two counts of criminal damage, police reported.A police investigation revealed the woman damaged a person’s vehicle on the 4000 block of South Mill Avenue in Tempe by scratching the vehicle with a sharp object, causing the vehicle to be repaired and repainted at a cost of $10,000, according to a police report.

    The woman then drove her 1997 Mercedes-Benz through a two-car garage door on the 2200 block of South Evergreen Road in Tempe, in an attempt to enter the residence, destroying the door, tracks and hardware, police reported.

    The incidents, although close in time, were unrelated, according to a report.

    The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.

  • A 21-year-old Tempe man was arrested around 11 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of possession of a narcotic drug and being in possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.The man was stopped by police at South Los Feliz and East La Jolla Drives in Tempe, matching the description of a suspect attempting to unlawfully enter an ambulance in the area, according to a police report.

    After consenting to a search of his person, police discovered heroin and a pipe with residue in the man’s pants pocket, police reported.The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, according to a report.

  • A 29-year-old Glendale man was arrested around 10 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, being in possession of marijuana and weapon misconduct, police reported.A search warrant served at the man’s house on the 7700 block of West Marlette Avenue in Glendale revealed approximately 75 pounds of marijuana, according to a police report.The man attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended in his neighbor’s backyard, according to a report.

    The man was turned over to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, police reported.

    Police also found a loaded .45-caliber handgun in the man’s bedroom, police reported.
