Police Beat: Sept. 29


ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • An unknown person or persons committed burglary between 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Monday, police reported.A Dell laptop and carrying case belonging to ASU Facilities Management were taken from a secured ASU Police substation inside Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $1,000, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft between Friday and Sunday by taking a bicycle belonging to a 19-year-old female student, police reported.The bicycle was taken from a bike rack outside of Hassayampa Academic Village on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $108, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed criminal damage between Friday and Monday by breaking a window on the 11th floor of Manzanita Hall on the Tempe campus, police reported.The approximate value was unknown, according to a police report.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, police reported.

  • An unknown person or persons committed burglary, criminal damage and theft between Friday and Sunday, police reported.Two vehicles, belonging to 18-year-old male and female students, were broken into through the driver’s side windows. They were parked in the Rural Road parking structure on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    Radar detectors were taken from inside both vehicles, police reported.

    The estimated loss is $1,000, according to a report.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, police reported.

  • An unknown person or persons committed burglary between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Thursday, police reported.A wallet and purse belonging to a 50-year-old female employee of the School of Social Transformation were taken from her office in West Hall on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $75, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An 18-year-old male student was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Sept. 15 on suspicion of threatening and intimidating, police reported.The student threatened to kill three community assistants at Eagle Hall on the Polytechnic campus, according to a police report.

    The man was arrested and booked into the 4th Avenue Jail, police reported.
