Current and former ASU swimmers were able to get together over the weekend to enjoy a fun-filled alumni weekend and swim meet.

“It means a lot to us to have the support of the alumni,” ASU swimming coach Dorsey Tierney-Walker said. “It’s awesome that our athletes have a chance to meet the athletes that paved the way for us.”

This year’s alumni meet was all about fun and no official times were kept.

The relaxed atmosphere and environment was seen when men and women swam together on multiple occasions and individual events would turn into “relays” with alumni jumping into the pool during the middle of a race just to have fun.

Tierney-Walker thought it was beneficial to her team to have an opportunity to meet the alumni in such a festive atmosphere.

The Sun Devil men will return to the pool next weekend as they host the Air Force Falcons, while the women will have to wait until Nov. 12.
