It’s not getting much better for Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.

The Heisman frontrunner has been hit with two consecutive allegations that could ruin his collegiate career.

One claims Newton requested money to commit to a school, and the second claims that he was caught cheating three times while attending Florida.

Newton transferred to a community college in 2008 before transferring to Auburn.

He is currently the most popular pick for the Heisman trophy and has dazzled us with his athleticism.

Both Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs and Auburn head coach Gene Chizik have stood up for their starting quarterback.

Chizik even went on to call the allegations ‘garbage,’ and didn’t understand why he was addressing this issue.

But that leaves college football fans in quite a pickle.

Do they believe those close to Newton and argue that people are just out to get him? Or do two severe allegations seal his fate?

Whatever the case, Newton remains on the field, leading an undefeated Auburn team with hopes of a National Title.

The whole debacle is very concerning.

Either college football is a dirty and corrupt, as it has been rumored, or a group of people have a bone to pick with Cameron Newton.

It’s getting ugly, and it needs to go away.
