Dear Brad Childress,

It was fun while it lasted.

For now it is probably better to get as far away from Minnesota as humanly possible.

A 31-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers was definitely a disappointing send off, but with Brett Favre as your starting quarterback, any departure was going to have an awkward feeling.

If I were to line up all the mug shots of current NFL coaches, I would probably pick you out to be the medical trainer.

Weirdly, the two most out-of-place coaches, yourself and Wade Phillips, were fired in back to back weeks.

Maybe the NFL has an image issue; don’t take it to heart.

But the widely accepted reason for your firing has to be the desperate attempt at toughness (or lack there of) over Mr. Favre.

Sending players to retrieve him from his summer home was rough enough, then letting him throw bad interception after bad interception and lead your team to a 3-7 record was probably the final straw.

Favre’s career is progressively becoming more depressing, and you dragged yourself onto the same depressing train tracks.

Thankfully you finally took the ones out of Minnesota.
