Police Beat: Nov. 24


ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • A 47-year-old man was arrested around 3 p.m. Saturday, on suspicion of a valid ASU Police Department warrant, police reported. The man was located near South College Avenue and East Veterans Way on ASU’s Tempe campus, according to a police report. The outstanding warrant was related to charges of failing to pay fines, police reported. The man was unable to post bond, and was processed at the ASU Police Department and later booked into the 4th Avenue Jail, according to a police report.
  • An unknown person or persons committed burglary between noon Nov. 17 and 1 p.m. Nov. 21, police reported. Two Rockford Fosgate subwoofers belonging to an 18-year-male student were taken from his unsecured 2008 Mazda 6, which was parked in Lot 35 on ASU’s Tempe campus, according to a police report. The estimated loss is $1,100, police reported. There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
  • An unknown person or persons committed theft between 2:20 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 17, police reported. A cell phone belonging to an 18-year-old female student was taken from the Einstein Bros. Bagels store inside the Memorial Union on ASU’s Tempe campus, according to a police report. The estimated loss is $250, police reported. There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
  • An unknown person or persons committed theft between Sept. 9 and Sept. 10, police reported. A vacuum belonging to the ASU West Auxiliary Services was taken from the La Sala Ballrooms at the University Center building on ASU’s West campus, according to a police report. The estimated loss is $200, police reported. The incident was reported on Friday, according to a police report. There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, police reported.
