America is referred to and known for its forgiving sports society. While this is often true, Americans also love their pets, and apparently still have yet to forgive Eagles quarterback Michael Vick for the role he played in running a dog fighting operation.

Vick topped Forbes Magazine’s list of the Most Disliked Sports Figures of 2010. Despite having a great statistical season and being mentioned in MVP races, it is evident how much Americans love their animals.

People are certainly passionate about sports, but a dog is a man’s best friend.

No matter how well Vick does on the field, he will more than likely never be completely forgiven for what he did.

While Vick was at the top of the list, Al Davis, Jerry Jones and Terrell Owens joined him.

All of those people were on the list in 2009 as well. The new additions for 2010 were Ben Roethlisberger, Tiger Woods and Gilbert Arenas.

Some people think this list is stupid since it is just a popularity contest and shows whom fans like to root against, but for some athletes such as Vick, Roethlisberger and Woods, it goes to show that the American public is not always quick to forgive.
