Enough is enough, Carmelo.

After months of trade rumors, you are still, somehow, sporting a Nuggets uniform. And, to your credit, you’re still out there playing. You dropped 36 against the Pacers on Sunday and you’re averaging an acceptable 23.8 PPG.

You sure haven’t quit on the court, but it’s clear you quit on the Nuggets a long time ago.

You are making over $17 million this season. You have refused to sign, much less talk about, the generous 3-year, $65 million contract extension Denver has offered you. Sure, maybe the Nuggets haven’t yet shown they have what it takes to go far in the playoffs, but you’re not exactly surrounded by a cast of scrubs.

Chauncey Billups, though aging, is still one of the premier point guards in the league. George Karl is a Hall of Fame-caliber coach. The Nuggets’ roster has youthful potential, too, in the shape of Arron Afflalo and Ty Lawson.

Denver is one big move away from competing for a championship. Maybe you could even help bring another big name to town instead of bolting like LeFraud. Ever think about that?

Fans and your teammates have had enough of this MeloDrama.

The door is that way. Go build your “legacy” elsewhere.
