Right off of Roosevelt Road and 2nd Street in downtown Phoenix sits a small, jam-packed record shop that carries everything from records to movies to record players.
Revolver Records has been a staple in downtown Phoenix since 2007 and is a great place to spend a few hours in if you’re in need of a good record hunt or just want to get out of your dorm/apartment/house. Revolver’s collection of records, CDs, and movies is extensive, and if you’re looking for that unique, or out of print record, you are more than likely to find it there.
In the front of the store, they have records lining the right side, and CDs and the cash register just to the left. In the back of the store, they have more CDs, records, and also a variety of DVDs. So if you’re close buy and you’re in need of a new movie, ya know, when you’re not studying or reading for class, then Revolver is your place.
The last time I was in Revolver, I also spotted loads of vintage records that would make any '50s, '60s, and '70s enthusiast very happy. I can’t quite recall the exact selection they have, but I would say with their traffic and dedicated customers things change pretty often and there is always something new to check out and find. Along with used and vintage vinyl, they also had a good amount of new vinyl that would make a great addition to anyone’s growing record collection.
Now, if you’re reading this and you keep thinking I really want to visit this record store, but I don’t own a record player, well don’t fret because Revolver always has a stack of used record players right by the front door just waiting to be picked up by college kids and people alike that are interested in starting their own record collection.
