Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

  • A 21-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Jan. 31 after an unknown person complained he or she saw the suspect near a freshly painted wall of graffiti, according to a police report.The suspect was asked if he was in possession of marijuana, and the man admitted he was; marijuana was found in the man’s backpack, police reported.

    A digital scale with marijuana residue was also found in the suspect’s backpack, according to a police report.

    The suspect was booked in the Tempe City Jail and later released, police reported.

  • A 20-year-old male ASU student was arrested on Jan. 31 on suspicion of marijuana possession, according to a police report.The suspect was arrested after a search was conducted at his residence where a usable amount of marijuana was discovered, police reported.

    Numerous glass pipes with burnt marijuana residue were located in the suspect’s bedroom, according to a police report.

    The suspect was transported and booked in the Tempe City Jail and he was later released, police reported.

ASU Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
  • A 19-year-old male ASU student was arrested on suspicion of being a minor with alcohol in body, possession of a fictitious license and misrepresenting age to obtain alcohol on Jan. 29 at about 1:34 a.m., police reported.He was arrested at South McAllister Avenue and East Tyler Street, according to the police report.

    He was cited and released from the ASU Police station, police reported.
