Police confirm body was Jigba

Tempe Police confirmed Tuesday that the body found in Tempe Town Lake Friday morning is that of missing 24-year-old Tempe man Willie Jigba.

Jigba was last seen walking home from a party early Jan. 15. He didn’t show up for his first day of work the next day and was reported missing.

An autopsy performed on the body Monday showed no signs of foul play, and preliminary findings are consistent with drowning, according to a press release from Tempe Police.

Identification of the body was made through the use of latent fingerprint analysis, according to a police report.
