James co-winner of Pac-10 Player-of-the-Week

ASU tennis sophomore Hannah James was named the Pac-10 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for March 14 to 20.

This is the first time that James has received this award and the tenth time a Sun Devil women's tennis player has received the award.

“It’s a privilege,” James said of the award. “I’ve worked hard the last few weeks, and I feel that with the effort I’ve given, I deserve it.”

James received the honor after her outstanding performance in the recent matches against both No. 10 Cal and No. 13 USC.

James, who played the deciding match against both teams and took both matches to three sets, eventually earned a victory for the Sun Devils.

It was the first time ASU had defeated USC in Los Angeles since 2002.
