ASU sophomore guard Trent Lockett has now been named to the second-team All-Pac-10 team and to the first-team Pac-10 All-Academic team after posting a 3.31 overall GPA.
Lockett is the first Sun Devil to garner All-Academic honors since Derek Glasser and Rihards Kuksiks were recognized after the 2008-09 season.
He is also one of only three players who managed to grab spots on both the All-Pac-10 and All-Academic teams.
Lockett is majoring in Business Communications and is enrolled in Barrett, the Honors College.
This season Lockett averaged 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds a game, good enough to lead the team in both categories.
Last season he was named to the All-Pac-10 Freshmen team.
Senior Ty Abbott did get an honorable mention for the All-Pac-10 team, and Kuksiks received an honorable mention for the All-Academic team as well.
