Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • A 22-year-old Chandler man was arrested on suspicion of probation violation, possession of prohibited weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia at the 2400 block of West Pecos Road in Chandler at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.

    The man was contacted at his home by probation officers about two outstanding felony warrants, police reported.

    A search of his home revealed a 9mm handgun, of which he is a prohibited possessor, needles commonly used to inject heroin and a glass pipe bong, according to the report.

    The man was booked and held in Tempe City Jail, police reported.

  • A 49-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs and possession of prescription-only drugs at the intersection of Darrow Drive and Baseline Road in Tempe at approximately 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to a police report.

    The woman was contacted in a vehicle stop after failure to remain in a single lane, police reported.

    The woman did not appear impaired and gave consent for police to search her vehicle, according to the report.

    An investigation revealed a prescription bottle with no label in her purse that contained several types of pills that she claimed were Tylenol and ibuprofen, police reported.

    A check on drugs.com revealed the pills were actually hydrocodone/acetaminophen and trazodone HCl pills, according to the report.

    The woman admitted post-Miranda that she did not have prescriptions for either drug, police reported.

    She was booked in Tempe City Jail and released, according to the report.

  • A 23-year-old Mesa man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of La Rosa Drive and Benjamin Drive in Tempe at approximately 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.

    The man was contacted for a vehicle stop that was made after the man failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, police reported.

    A slight odor of marijuana emitted from his vehicle, and the man exited the vehicle upon request, police reported.

    A K-9 unit smelled the car and alerted the officer of the presence of drugs, according to the report.

    A search revealed a usable quantity of marijuana, a glass smoking pipe with burnt resin, rolling papers and a digital scale that the man admitted to owning post-Miranda, police reported.

    The man was booked in Tempe City Jail and released, according to the report.
