I want to preface this by saying that I am as big a hockey fan as anyone in this state.

While the Coyotes aren’t my favorite team, I’ve adopted them the last four years that I have been living in Arizona.

I’ve grown to love them.

The passion they play with on the ice and the drama they face off the ice seems more like a Hollywood movie than anything else.

This was written before game four was finished because of its lateness. While writing this, I don’t know what will happen in game four, but you the reader will.

I really want hockey to work in Arizona, but it seems destined to fail.

Game 3 was a prime example. Arena rocking, team pumped up, Detroit quickly silences it.

While the final seconds ticked down on Monday night, I thought to myself, maybe the Coyotes are just not meant to be.

Whenever the series is over, the fate of the franchise will come soon. Some even believe the NHL already knows the team is moving and didn’t want to lose playoff revenue.

Sadly, barring a miracle comeback in this series, I think the fate is sealed and the team is heading north.

Now, by the time you read this, the miracle may have been ended.

Just like the Coyotes stay in the desert.

It is sad, because this team deserved better.
