Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 54-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary on the 1000 block of East Orange Street in Tempe at approximately 1:56 a.m. Wednesday, according to a police report.
The man was discovered in the living room of an apartment attempting to steal a television, police reported.
The residents of the apartment were alerted to the man in their bedroom when they heard the front door shut and the television begin to make static noises, according to the report.
They walked into the living room and saw the man attempting to disconnect the television and confronted him, causing the man to flee, police reported.
Before the man left, the residents were able to take a photo of him, according to the report.
The police apprehended the man a short distance away and were able to identify him from the photograph, and he was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was booked and held, police reported.
- A 28-year-old Tempe man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespassing and disobeying court orders on the 1200 block of East Vista del Cerro Drive in Tempe at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday, according to a police report.
The man was seen jumping off the balcony of his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and was caught within the complex, police reported.
A records check of the man revealed he was previously arrested on Feb. 16 for attempted burglary and for standing naked in the apartment while waiting for the woman to get home, according to the report.
The man was served with an order of protection that same day and violated it by returning to the apartment, police reported.
He was booked and held at Tempe City Jail, according to the report.
- A 33-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested on suspicion of ID theft and forgery on the 1300 block of East University Drive in Tempe at approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.
The woman stole the ID of another woman in order to gain employment at FilConn in Tempe, police reported.
The woman stole the name, date of birth and social security number of the other woman, and signed her name on several government forms, according to the report.
The woman stole the ID because she is not a legal citizen and she was booked and held in Tempe City Jail, police reported.
