Man impersonates police officer to enter dorm room

An ASU student woke up early June 11 to an intruder in her dorm room who claimed he was a police officer in training, according to the ASU Police Department.

At approximately 3 a.m. the suspect entered a female student’s room through her unlocked door at the Barrett, the Honors College, according to police. After claiming he was a police officer in training, he searched her room for drugs before leaving. The suspect did not injure or threaten the student.

Police are still searching for the suspect. Once found he will face charges of first degree criminal trespass and impersonating a police officer.

The suspect was described as an Asian male, about 6-feet tall, weighing 180-190 pounds and dressed in a gray t-shirt and shorts.
