Obviously, the University of Southern California has football tradition deeper than the Pacific Ocean they play by.

For one night, though, ASU fans were the spoiled ones, and it was wonderful. We got to enjoy a game in which the Sun Devils were only penalized 43 yards and had a plus-four turnover ratio. Not to mention, the Sun Devils won by three touchdowns.

And who cares if students and alumni went crazy at the end of the game? It was a big deal. This was the first time in 11 years that the Sun Devils beat the Trojans and the first step to the ultimate goal, the Rose Bowl.

Yeah, USC will still have their national titles and Heisman winners, but for one night, the Sun Devils stole the show and showed the rest of the Pac-12 they will not be pushovers.

This season already had a signature moment with the blackout win against Missouri, but the win against the USC easily topples that and hopefully there is still more to come throughout the season. Click here to subscribe to the daily State Press newsletter.
