Length of New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries’s marriage to Kim Kardashian: 72 and done.
After a $10 million, “made-for-TV” dream wedding, Humphries was informed via TMZ (yes, by the very people celebrities hate) on Monday that the socialite is divorcing him.
The prenuptial agreement promises Kardashian $35 million, but poor Kris only had a three-year, $9 million and now is a locked-out free agent.
The Kardashians have been a parasite to the sports world. Kim and her sister, Khloe, are a constant distraction for the media in any sports games they attend.
Kim also had her ways with football players Reggie Bush and Miles Austin. The two had their low point of their respective careers while dating her, and Lakers forward Mr. Lamar Kardashian seemed to be distracted during L.A.’s meltdown season when E! launched “Khloe & Lamar.”
Coincidence? I definitely think not.
Professional athletes need to stay away from women like the Kardashians. It’s already a difficult time for players to balance their careers with marriage, let alone with a socialite whose road to fame remains unknown.
