Oklahoma’s stunning home loss to a four-touchdown underdog last week shook up the race for the National Championship.

Teams such as Stanford, Clemson and Kansas State could make the title game if they win out.

However, another team has earned the right to play for the national title game with their strong play the last few years.

That team is Boise State, and it’s time for the college football world to give them a chance on the grandest stage.

But because Boise State always plays a soft regular season schedule in the Mountain West, they may never get that opportunity.

The computer part of the BCS will have them ranked low because of its mediocre strength-of-schedule, and voters will continue to pass up Boise State in favor of the marquee programs.

However, Boise State has proven time and time again that they can compete and defeat the big boys of college football.

Let’s take a look at some of their impressive victories recently. They beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl, knocked off Virginia Tech in D.C., routed Oregon in Eugene and, this season, defeated Georgia in Atlanta.

It is clear Boise State has proven their strength on the field, and it’s time college football gave them a chance.
