Who’s ready for some baseball? I know I am.

With spring training just around the corner, the excitement to see my favorite MLB players in actions is building.

Most pitchers and catchers have already reported for duty, and positional players are joining them this week. After a long winter, it finally feels like the 2012 season is underway.

I’m ready for March to remind us why baseball is America’s favorite pastime, why we remain dedicated fans and why we unfailingly fill stadium seats year after year.

This year is one to be excited about. New managers and players on new teams mean new opportunities to witness amazing baseball moments.

Bobby Valentine is the manager for the Boston Red Sox and is sure to be a key asset for the team.

Former St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols shocked the baseball world when he agreed to join the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The New York Yankees are looking to add a 28th World Series title to their name.

In the National League, the Arizona Diamondbacks are gearing up for another intense season led by manager Kirk Gibson.

With the year shaping up how it is, I am confident this season won’t disappoint.
