For a basketball program as successful as Syracuse, it sure does have a lot of problems.
Another NCAA inquiry is on the way for the Orange, this time for the purported cover-up of failed drug tests in the program.
Syracuse self-reported the violations, but in no way does that make it any better. According to Yahoo! Sports, at least 10 players who failed drug tests were allowed to practice and play since 2001. To make matters worse, one player allegedly played after four failed drug tests, while another played with three failed tests.
After the Bernie Fine fallout, this is the second major scandal Syracuse has faced this season.
Somehow, though, Syracuse has put together one of its best basketball years of all time. The Orange are 30-1 heading into the Big East Tournament and are ranked No. 2 in the country.
If Syracuse wins the NCAA championship this year, this team will be the face of adversity, even if it was self-imposed.
This is one of the most intriguing stories to come across college basketball, and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
