Female inmates rehabilitate through the arts

Twenty-five female inmates recently took part in the 10th annual Journey Home performance by reading poetry, using expressive movement and by presenting visual arts to a small audience at Estrella Women’s Jail. The Journey Home program, presented by ASU Gammage and Life Paradigms, Inc., seeks to help empower and rehabilitate female inmates by raising their self-esteem and by teaching them how to express themselves artistically.
