When you think of the phrases 3-point daggers, “The Knick Killer” and clutch shooting, you think of Reggie Miller.
The 18-year Indiana Pacer rarely had unbelievable statistics or a high-flying highlight reel, but there’s no doubt he belongs in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
When you think of No. 31’s highlights, you imagine a barrage of 3-pointers, particularly when he scored eight points in nine seconds.
When you think of “The Knick Killer,” you think of his battles with the New York Knicks, particularly in Game 5 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals when he scored 25 points in the fourth quarter.
When you think of clutch, you think of how it has come hand-in-hand with his success. When Miller and the Pacers needed a miraculous comeback, he seemingly always made the necessary plays.
Some all-time career records he holds are the 14th most points scored, sixth most games played, second most 3-pointers made and first in playoff 3-pointers made.
Reggie Miller is very deserving of his recent hall of fame bid and will forever be known as one of the best clutch performers the NBA has ever seen.
