After two shutout losses last weekend to begin the 2012 season, the ASU women's soccer team looks to right the ship Friday against in-state foe NAU.

Junior forward Devin Marshall, who tallied five shots in the opener against Cal State Northridge, leads the Sun Devils coming into Flagstaff.

Marshall also helped lead the Sun Devils to a 7-0 rout over the Lumberjacks last year.

The win tied the single-game school record for goals for the Sun Devils, who are currently in the midst of a five game road trip to begin the season.

The 2010 meeting between the schools, however, came down to the wire as ASU scored its go-ahead goal with 1:06 remaining to win the game 4-3.

The Lumberjacks come into Friday's match in a similar situation as the Sun Devils, as NAU lost its season opener at UNLV 2-0 last week.

Led last week by the freshman tandem of forward Haley Wingender and goalkeeper Natalie Gilbertson, the Lumberjacks were looking to build off a strong second half against the Rebels and delight the expected sellout crowd in the team's home opener.

Wingender had three of the five shots on goals for the Lumberjacks in their opener.

Gilbertson grabbed six saves while not allowing a single goal in the second half of play.
