Players cashing in on advertisements, endorsements

Endorsements make up a majority of most high-paid athletes' money outside of their extensive contracts.

Some athletes even receive product as an endorsement.

Last year, Seattle Seahawks Marshawn Lynch was seen eating Skittles during a televised game.

Skittles then sent Lynch a two-year supply of Skittles, including a dispenser for his locker.

Lynch took his love for Skittles even further wearing a pair of Skittle-patterned cleats.

Another player in the NFL has recently caused a ruckus with his own product obsession.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Niles Paul is an avid Capri Sun drinker and keeps a stash in the locker room.

When players started infiltrating his stash and Capri Sun caught wind of it, the company sent Paul a case of his favorite Capri Sun with all of the yellow straws removed.

In place of the straws, Paul received a padded case that contained a silver straw that had his own personal name and number engraved on it.

Capri Sun made sure stealing — and more importantly trying to drink — from Paul’s stash was impossible.

Well played Capri Sun, well played.
