Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A 39-year-old woman was arrested on Aug. 28 at Broadway and Rural roads on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and possession of dangerous drugs, narcotic drugs, marijuana, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia, according, according to the police report.Officers stopped the woman after noticing her vehicle’s registration was expired, police reported.Police also found she had a suspended license, according to the report.Police found pieces of tin foil and a straw with brown residue in the center console of the vehicle, police reported.
Officers also found an Oxymorphone pill in her right front shorts pocket as well as a bag of cocaine, a box containing marijuana, two packages of Suboxone, a box containing 10 Clonazepam pills and an Adderall pill in her purse, according to the report.
She was arrested and transported to Tempe City Jail, police reported.
During a strip search, officers found a bag containing cocaine in her bra, according to the report.
The woman was held on the suspended license charge and released pending drug charges, police reported.
- An 18-year-old man was arrested on Aug. 26 at Rocky Point Road and South Shore Drive on suspicion of marijuana possession, according to a police report.An officer approached three men after someone told police they were trespassing on Rover Elementary School property and carrying a suspicious package, police reported.The men were near the playground equipment when police arrived, but walked toward the south end of the school before an officer approached them, according to the report.Shortly after, the men sprinted back to where the officer was standing, police reported.
An officer approached the men and noticed they smelled of marijuana, according to the report.
The officer asked them if they were carrying marijuana and one of them said he was, police reported.
The man was arrested and transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and released pending drug charges, according to the report.
