It’s hilarious watching the New York Jets.

At first, they gave quarterback Mark Sanchez a three-year extension with $20.5 million guaranteed.

Then they trade for Tim Tebow.

Sanchez is who the rest of America thought he was — nothing special.

Meanwhile, the Jets have a dynamic athlete on the sidelines — with a winning record as a starting quarterback — they have failed to use effectively.

Why trade for him in the first place? We all knew the Sanchez experience was a ticking time bomb. He isn’t a good quarterback.

Start Tebow. Play Tebow. More Tebow.

Sure, he throws some ducks. You won’t see Tebow host a quarterback fundamentals camp. But he wins. And he continues to improve as a quarterback with time. Plus, he’s a hard worker and has a lasting impact on his teammates.

Von Miller paid tribute to his former teammate by Tebowing after he sacked Ben Roethlisberger in his season opener.

He saved the Denver Broncos’ season last year and has a knack for coming up big late in games, including a playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He’s an exciting player. If the Jets are going to suck, at least put a product on the field worth watching.

The only way that happens? Free Tebow.
