Devil Dish: D-Backs drafting Hahn means everything for ASU

For the first time in my 20 years on this earth, I watched all 40 rounds of the MLB Draft last weekend.

I did so to see where the ASU draft-eligible players went, and through 33 rounds, things went as planned.

Five Sun Devils had been drafted and the next player waiting was senior Alex Blackford.

Except Blackford wasn't the next one drafted.

Cory Hahn was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks with their 34th round pick.

To most folks, this didn't set off any alarms, but to the Sun Devil baseball community, it meant everything.

Remember, Hahn is the Sun Devil baseball player who was paralyzed sliding into second in his third collegiate game in 2010.

The move was classy to say the least, but there's more.

The DBacks plan on finding a place for Hahn in the organization moving forward.

The Sun Devils were still hoping to be playing in the NCAA tournament on June 8, but this might be just as sweet.
