Bravo to the newly renovated Manzanita Hall. The historic building reopened after being closed for renovations for nearly three years. While the building has retained its historic appeal, the bathrooms have been enlarged and amenities added. Boo to the new Golden iPhone 5s that will be released this year. There are children in Africa who only have the 3rd generation iPhone. Uncool.

Bravo to Comedy Central for bringing Jon Stewart back to "The Daily Show." It was a hot, dry summer for humor.

Boo to news organizations for stating that Elon Musk was the inspiration for Marvel's Tony Stark. If you did some basic fact-checking, you would see that Iron Man was written long before Musk was born.

Bravo to Tempe police for keeping students and the community safe by introducing its new Operation Safe and Sober. Efforts will include a DUI task force and officers on the lookout for wild parties and minors consuming alcohol.

Boo to AOL CEO Tim Armstrong for publicly firing the creative director of Patch, Abel Lenz, during a conference call. Lenz was reportedly trying to take a photo when Armstrong fired him in front of co-workers and 1,000 other employees listening to the call. Armstrong issued an apology in a memo to his staff, but the memo holds no mention of whether Lenz is still fired.

Bravo to the U.S. government for fighting to keep Michael Jackson’s famous bejeweled glove out of the hands of the son of Equatorial Guinea’s dictator, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue. We have no problem letting NSA leaker Edward Snowden escape, but that glove is a national treasure.

Boo to the never-ending construction along Rural Road, which makes moving into the dorms especially complicated. With parents shuttling their students around campus, the congested traffic that's all-too typical of Tempe has just gotten worse.

Bravo to the Arizona Rattlers for winning the Arena Bowl for second straight year, but boo to lame Arizona Rattlers fans, who appear to be nonexistent. In the middle of an AFL dynasty, the Rattlers' home city is just as apathetic to the team as the rest of the sports world.
