With the start of the college football season quickly descending upon us, you might find yourself faced with a deep and troubling question: How do I know what game I should watch?
Luckily, that’s why I'm here. I already faced this question myself.
After spending countless hours meditating on the peak of a distant Himalayan mountain with his holiness the Dalai Lama, a burst of light hit me and an answer came forth.
“Clemson University..." a deep voice boomed, ”versus … the University of Georgia!”
Of course! This game stacks up to be one of the premiere offensive showcases of the entire year.
First, there’s the battle of two of the nation's top quarterbacks: redshirt senior Tajh Boyd of Clemson and senior Aaron Murray of Georgia.
Both threw for more than 3,800 yards and fewer than 15 interceptions last season.
Junior wideout Sammy Watkins, one of the most electrifying wide receivers in the country, will be catching passes from Boyd.
If you like a physical running game, the Clemson-Georgia match will provide that, too. Georgia’s twin-headed monster of sophomores Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall gives the team two of the SEC’s best running backs.
If you can only watch one game on opening weekend, make sure it’s Clemson vs. Georgia.
