After winning the third season of hit NBC talent show, “The Voice,” Cassadee Pope is releasing her solo album Tuesday, Oct. 8. Pope won over America with her flawless voice singing country ballads like “Stand” and “Over You,” with the help of coach Blake Shelton. Pope, who entered the show with more of an Avril Lavigne edge, emerged as a country star in the making.
“Frame By Frame” is considered a country album, but Pope adds an edge to her songs that creates a unique, personal spin on the genre. The album comprises 11 tracks, three of which were released over summer to promote the album: “Wasting All These Tears,” “Champagne” and “11."
The album is already topping iTunes country charts, even though it's only available now for preorder. It’s likely to become even more popular once people begin to hear the songs, which are different from her “Hey Monday” days, but it should still be a successful album.
"Frame By Frame" has a country feel, especially within ballads “Wasting All These Tears” and “11,” which suit Pope’s voice and make her lyrics more emotional and relatable. Her voice has a flawlessness to it, and her lyrics flow together really well. The fantastic melodies and the rhythm of the songs make them catchy and likely to become No. 1 hits on iTunes.
The album balances breakup songs full of angst and sadness with a number of energetic tracks that make you want to sing along.
Pope really utilizes the full range of her voice on this album, which is apparent in “You Hear a Song” and “Easier to Lie.”
To promote "Frame By Frame," Pope released a documentary series on the Country Music Television network that goes behind the scenes of her album release, as well as her touring of radio stations across the country.
While fans of Cassadee Pope’s older material may not be thrilled that this album is country, the genre suits her voice and compliment her talents. "Frame By Frame" is likely to be a hit among listeners.
