Some teams won in beatdowns; others squeezed out close wins. See how each team fared in this week's edition of the Pac-12 Roundup.
No. 2 Oregon vs. Colorado: Oregon W 57-16
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Marcus Mariota continued to heat up his Heisman campaign, as he scored not five, not six, but seven touchdowns in UO’s rout of the Buffaloes. Mariota finished the day with 355 passing yards and five passing touchdowns and rushed for 43 yards and two scores. With junior running back De’Anthony Thomas out with an injury, sophomore running back Byron Marshall made the most of his opportunity as the Ducks’ premiere back. Marshall ran for 122 yards in 23 carries. Colorado had no answers for the Ducks’ offense as UO racked up 755 offensive yards.No. 5 Stanford vs. No. 15 Washington: Stanford W 31-28
It took everything the Cardinal had to prevent an upset by Washington. The Huskies offense was on point, outgaining the Cardinal 489 yards to 279. Resurgent Washington senior quarterback Keith Price passed for 350 yards, two touchdowns and one interception on the night. Price out-played Stanford junior quarterback Kevin Hogan, who could only muster 100 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception on Saturday. On top of Price’s strong play, junior running back Bishop Sankey continued to be a workhorse for the Huskies, carrying the ball 27 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns.No. 12 UCLA vs. Utah: UCLA W 34-27
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Brett Hundley can do pretty much everything on a football field. Hundley threw for 211 yards and a touchdown and ran for 85 more yards with another score. He also caught a touchdown pass to boot. Freshman running back Paul Perkins led the Bruins in rushing with 92 yards on 16 attempts. Despite a good offensive performance, the Bruins shot themselves in the foot on several occasions, committing 13 penalties for 100 yards. However, Utah was also far from mistake-free. Utes sophomore quarterback Travis Wilson threw for 288 yards and two touchdowns but was picked off six times.Washington State vs. Cal: WSU W 44-22
Cal freshman quarterback Jared Goff was back to his normal ways Saturday passing for 504 yards and two touchdowns against the Cougars. Goff broke the 400-yard mark for the third time this year, but, unfortunately for the Golden Bears, Washington State junior quarterback Connor Halliday played better. Halliday tossed for 521 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to WSU senior wideout Vince Mayle. Neither team is known for having a potent rushing attack and neither one eclipsed 75 rushing yards. Cal junior running back Brandon Bigelow led all rushers with 41 yards on 12 attempts.
