Top six Youtubers to help you procrastinate this academic season

It’s mid-semester, and you’re burnt out. What do you do? Procrastinate. Where’s the first place you look to? YouTube. But maybe you’re looking to go beyond videos of people driving trucks off of things or harming themselves with liters of Coke and some Mentos. You may find yourself wanting to make your procrastination worth a little something. In that case, here are a few channels that may interest you.

1. ) "Fun for Louis"

Louis, a British Youtuber with a thing for traveling, originally started off his YouTube career with "Food for Louis," in which he filmed himself eating various questionable things ... like, extremely questionable. If you would like to be both disgusted and impressed, I would suggest visiting that channel. But for a while now, Louis has been sticking to vlogging about his life and mainly his travels (probably a better route for his health). While many of his blogs involve him penny boarding around London and drinking coffee, he has also documented his trips to India, South Africa, Japan and all across Eastern Europe. You’ll learn a few things about what to do (or not to do) while traveling abroad and be generally entertained by this free-spirited Brit.

2.) "The Shaytards"

If you’ve ever wondered what having five kids is like, you’ll want to check out "The Shaytards." This channel documents the lives and adventures of the Shays, including the family's many uncles, aunts, grandmas and great-grandmas. The channel began in 2008 mainly as a weight loss vlog for Carl Shay, the patriarch of the family, and morphed into a hilarious and sweet biography of their lives as their family grew. In addition, the Shays had an exciting addition this month with their fifth Shay child, so it’s baby mania right now.

3.) "Daily Grace"

If adorable families aren’t your thing, try "Daily Grace." The 28-year-old profits off of frequent awkwardness and antics, and is sometimes accompanied by YouTube’s Mamrie Hart of the channel "You Deserve A Drink" and Hannah Hart of "MyHarto." Grace vlogs her life, collaborates with YouTubers and personalities like MTV’s Nikki and Sarah, teaches you how to do things you didn’t need to be taught and reviews various things (the Miley Cyrus "Wrecking Ball" video review is definitely worth a watch).

4.) "Sorted Food"

Whether you’re looking for an amazing recipe or just love looking at food, "Sorted Food" is definitely a channel to try. This group of attractive guys try out every type of food and recipe from vamped up meatball subs to simple dim sum recipes. They invite many other YouTubers to come and help them cook and create what are called eye candy videos, purely to make you hungry. This group of food enthusiasts makes cooking look easy, interesting and fun.

5.) "Lindsay Albanese"

This YouTuber is fairly new to the game with less than a year of channel establishment under her belt, but it is definitely worth the watch if you’re in need of some fashion advice. The L.A.-based fashion expert, Lindsay Albanese, uses YouTube to spread her knowledge outside the bounds of southern California. This stylist has outfitted many a celebrity, from the cast of "Pretty Little Liars" to Kristin Cavallari, and has done spreads in magazines such as "Esquire," "Glamour" and "Lucky Magazine." She’s also had segments on "E! News," "The Today Show" and "Good Day L.A." So, despite her newness to the YouTube game, she’s already a pro. This stylist covers many topics like closet organization, what to wear to a wedding, trends worth trying and quick fashion saves.

6.) "Jacksfilms"

If you need a laugh or a reminder to freshen up on your grammar, or both, head to "Jacksfilms." The channel’s main attraction is the "Your Grammar Sucks" segment, in which Jack shares hilariously grammatically incorrect and flat-out weird comments left on various types of social media and acts them out. He also performs parodies and narrates as he plays video games — but nothing really compares to his grammar videos. Please, just go check them out. I may have you double checking your comments before sending them out into the Internet.
