'Good Morning America' host Robin Roberts to receive Cronkite Award


Robin Roberts, the co-anchor of ABC's "Good Morning America," will receive the 2014 Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, according to an ASU press release.

Roberts, who previously worked with ESPN and has co-hosted "Good Morning America" since 2005, will be recognized at a ceremony hosted by ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication on Oct. 6. She joins 30 other recipients of the annual award, including Bob Woodward, Diane Sawyer, Christiane Amanpour, Brian Williams and Tom Brokaw.
