Tempe Police: Woman fights with man, carries meth in purse


Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

A 31-year-old woman was arrested Nov. 10 on the 2000 block of East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.

The woman was originally contacted because she was loudly arguing with her fiancé, police reported.

After officers asked to search the woman’s bag, they found a bag of meth and a pipe used to smoke it, according to the report.

The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and held to see a judge, police reported.

A 30-year-old Tempe man was arrested Nov. 9 on the 3600 block of South Cottonwood Drive on suspicion of burglary, according to a police report.

The man went into a yard and stole two bottles of alcohol, police reported.

The man told officers that he knew he didn’t have permission to enter the yard, but he wanted the alcohol he knew was there, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, police reported.
