It wasn't pretty Saturday. ASU football put a beating on Notre Dame to the tune of 55-31. It got ugly fast. By the end of the first quarter, the game was 17-3. It's also when ASU Athletics took an extremely high resolution panorama of Sun Devil Stadium.

Many fans have had fun finding themselves and friends in the image. But we at The State Press took it a step further. We scoured each section of the stadium to find the emotions of the Fighting Irish fans in attendance. Spoiler: They weren't too happy.

It was only a 14-point deficit when the photo was taken. It got much worse for Irish fans before it got better. Then, it got worse again.

Here are the five Notre Dame fans who took the loss harder than the rest. See the "Gigapixel" panorama in full here.

5. The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Rather than embrace the sun like those in the rows above him, this Irish fan decided to sulk in his sorrows underneath the cover of his jersey.

4. Sour

Not quite sure if this Notre Dame fan is making kissy faces at some of the cute Sun Devil fans or if he's just sour about the score of the game. I'll side with the latter.

3. Salty

The last fan seemed more sour, while this one is more salty. Jaw clenched, arms crossed, drab expressions. The classic signs of an unhappy fan.

2. Consoling her husband

This one is actually pretty sweet. While what looks to be her husband grimaces at the 17-3 score, this woman in Irish green garb is all smiles, ensuring him everything will be all right.

1. A family that wins together also loses together

This family of Notre Dame supporters has enjoyed plenty of success over the years. Saturday was a different story, though. At least they got some quality family time, and they'll be closer because of it!

Bonus

How could we forget the Leprechaun, the biggest Fighting Irish fan there is? Before kickoff, he appeared a bit dazed and out of sorts. But he was a constant source of energy and pep on Saturday, even after ASU touchdowns.
